Bomb Tweeter Turns Twitter Anger On

Twitter community is angry that Paul Chambers, the man convicted and fined for a Twitter message threatening to blow up an airport has failed to overturn his conviction while Tweeters have joined forces in support.
The situation becomes the hottest topic in the UK because of the two hashtags which failed after a day of his appeal.
Free speech advocates Index on Censorship said the UK judiciary was out of step with social networks.
According to Padraig Reidy said that, the verdict demonstrates that the UK’s legal system has little respected for free expression, and has no understanding of how people communicate in the 21st Century.
The sentencing of Paul Chambers shows no sign of receding in anyway. After his appeal failed, some 24 hours, the “hashtag” #twitterjoketrial remains one of the top trending topics on the site.

The encouragement of users to “re-tweet” the “I’m Spartacus” also came from a huge hit and is currently number one trending topic in the UK followed by “twitterjoketrial” in second place

The first person who was convicted in the UK for an offensive post is Chambers which, after the hearing, and Twitter fan Stephen Fry tweeted that he would pay Chambers’ fine.
