VMA Awards 2010 Winners and Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance Video – Lady Gaga made music history at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, September 12 by winning most awards by a female performer in a single night.
Her “Bad Romance” video garnered 8 awards in the 17 total awards up for grabs at VMA 2010. Lady Gaga also received the most nominations, being nominated for 13 awards (18 including nominations for her collaboration with Beyoncé for “Video Phone”).
Lady Gaga also made record as the most-nominated artist in VMA history for a single year, and subsequently became the first female solo artist to receive two nominations for Video of the Year when both “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” were nominated for the award.
